BETTY BULLINGER
Betty A. Bullinger, 91, died Saturday, March 3, 2001 at a Havre nursing home of natural causes.
A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Holland and Bonine Chapel in Havre. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial
is to follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
Bullinger was born April 28, 1909 at Mandan, N.D. to Albert and Caroline (Brom) Papacek. She was raised in Bismarck and attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School and High School.
She worked for the telephone company until her marriage to Joseph Bullinger in 1928. They moved to Minot, N.D. and later to Sioux Falls, S.D., where he was employed by the F.A. Buttrey Company.
They were transferred to Havre in 1949. In 1958, he opened Cavaliers Men's Store in Havre. She worked there for 17 years.
They spent many weekends enjoying their cabin in the Bear Paw Mountains with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards with family and friends. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Bullinger was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike, in 1980; husband, Joseph, in 1981.
Survivors include her daughters, Annice Barsotti of Havre, Carol Troy of Boise, Idaho, Betty Jo Malsam of Havre and Emily Lamey of Everett, Wash.; sister, Clara Holta of Anchorage, Alaska; 20 grandchildren; 32 greatr-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude School.
