CHINOOK Ernestine Pearl "Tiney" Doney, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001 at her home in Spokane, Wash., of cancer.
Funeral Mass was 11 a.m. Saturday in Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook with burial in Kuper Memorial Cemetery.
Doney was born Oct. 14 1925 in Chinook to Pat D. and Zelda (Demary) Azure.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deanna; brothers, Joe Brian, Edward and Walter Azure; sisters, Mary Jane LaRoque, Cellna Azure, Louise Azure, and Elizabeth Lavenger; two granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Elmer Pete Doney; sons, Elmer James, Willard Merle, Peter David, Edwin Dale, Wade Allen, Stuart Dennis, Rodney Dean and Gaylord Vern Doney; daughters, Patricia Lee Dedman, Roberta Faye Wandler, Marilyn France, Janice Lynn Johnson, and Edna Mae Hattan; brother, Joe Azure of Rocky Boy; sisters, Christine Clary of Cottonwood, Calif. and Agnes Akkerman of Lewiston, Idaho; 42 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are by Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home of Spokane and Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
