The Havre Ministerial Association began its Lenten Luncheons Thursday noon at First Presbyterian Church.
All four of the remaining luncheons will fall on Thursdays during the Lenten season and will be held in the First Presbyterian Church basement.
A different church will host each of the five luncheons, providing that week's menu and speaker.
The first Lenten Luncheon was sponsored by First Lutheran Church of Havre. First Lutheran provided the food and the speaker.
The Lenten Luncheon next Thursday, March 15, will be hosted by First Presbyterian Church. Thursday, March 22, will be hosted by Havre Assembly of God Church, and Fifth Avenue Christian will host on March 29. First Church of the Nazarene will provide the food and speaker on April 5.
Assembly of God Pastor Steve Flatau said the luncheons are in observance of Lent and open to everyone in the community. The cost is $3 for the meal.
