ROMAR MCCONNELL
HAMILTON/HAYS Romar Zane "Walking Elk" McConnell, 26, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at his home in Hamilton.
Wake, rosary was Thursday at the St. Paul's Mission Recreation
Center at Hays and Mass was Friday at St. Paul's, with burial in the Grade Cemetery at Hays.
McConnell was born Jan. 3, 1975 at Fort Belknap to Virgil A. and Della Rose D. (Duvall) McConnell. He was raised and educated in Hays and the Bitterroot Valley.
McConnell worked at many different construction sites around Montana.
He married Janet Ohl on May 1, 1995.
McConnell enjoyed playing with his wife and children, hunting, fishing and playing video games.
Survivors include his wife, Janet of Hamilton; daughters, SyAnn Marie McConnell of Hamilton, Paris Breeze Talton McConnell of Anaconda; sons, Jacob Mavros of Hamilton, Romar Zane Talton McConnell Jr. of Anaconda; father, Virgil A. McConnell of Wolf Point, mother, Della Rose McConnell of Saco; sisters, Tanya L. McConnell Hellyer of Darby, Althea S. McConnell Ketron of Missoula; brothers, Virgil A. McConnell of Missoula, Darius Moreno of Great Falls, Anson A. McConnell of Stevensville, Joel V. McConnell of Shelby, Kristofer J. Four Star, Matthew L. McConnell of Wolf Point; grandparents, Sydney Duvall of Landusky, Virgil F. McConnell of Hays; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Ravalli County Coroners Office.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
