A fire that ripped through the home Monday of Toby and Christina Meissner and their 4-year-old son Tyron, has left the family seeking help from the Havre chapter of the American Red Cross and the community of Havre.

"We need pretty much anything you can think of," Christina Meissner said in a telephone interview Tuesday.

Destroyed in the blaze were all of their household kitchen appliances. Also suffering smoke damage was all of their furniture, personal belongings, and clothes.

The Meissners are currently residing at the El Toro Motel in Havre where they are being assisted by the Red Cross and Golden Triangle Mental Health.

Meissner said they found another place to live on Tuesday, but added that they will need help from someone with a truck to move.

They are also in particular need of bedding, food, and clothing for the child.

Anyone wanting to assist the Meissners in either moving or with donations, can contact the American Red Cross at 517 Second Street after 1 p.m. or by calling 265-1500.

Help can also be given to the Meissners directly by calling 390-2415.
