Committee has busy two-day itinerary

The Montana Committee of the Humanities is making a stop in north central Montana this week.
The 20-member committee will hold its quarterly meeting in Havre Friday.
The committee's itinerary also includes a stop at Stone Child College, committee member Marilee Russell said. Russell, a member of the Stone Child English faculty, said the committee will enjoy a traditional meal at the school.
The meal will be followed by a round dance at 7 p.m. in the SCC gym.
The round dance is open to the public and everyone is invited.
Saturday morning, the committee will meet in the Havre/Hill County Library meeting room. Refreshments will be served by Friends of the Library.
At noon Saturday, the committee will take a tour of Havre Beneath the Streets led by former state representative Toni Hagener.
A reception for the committee and open to the public will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday in Donaldson Commons on the Montana State University-Northern campus. The hour-long reception will be followed by a Speakers Bureau presentation titled "Magic of the Rails" at 7 p.m. in Donaldson Commons.
