The Havre-born group The Timely Trio will be performing at the 6th Annual Montana Storytelling Roundup, April 27 and 28, at the Cut Bank High School Auditorium.
The group is made up of three talented women: Kim Callahan, Mavis Filler and Dena Tippets, who get together four or five times a year to perform.
The trio takes pride in promoting Havre and Montana life with their music which promises to "warm your heart and tickle your funny bone."
The Timely Trio enjoys singing popular and original songs ranging from folk to country and spiritual pieces to nostalgic numbers from the 1940s and '50s.
They have performed at several conventions and conferences across the state, including the Fort Benton Celebration, the Old Forts Trail Celebration and Havre Festival Days.
The group recently completed its third album entitled "Livin' on the Western Edge."
Several local talents will be showcased at the Storytelling Roundup this weekend, including Ken Overcast of Chinook and the Fox Family of Harlem. Admission for the two-day event is $5 for students, $10 for adults or $25 for a family.
The Timely Trio is scheduled to perform a pre-show on Friday at 6:45 p.m., with a showcase from 8:30 to 8:45 p.m. On Saturday the group performs at 11:45 a.m. and 2:30 to 3 p.m., with a final session from 4 to 5 p.m.
