Montana State University-Northern volleyball coach Chris Handley announced her team has signed C.M. Russell's Julie Henderson to a national letter-of-intent.
"Julie is a 5-foot-11 right-side player who goes all-out every points of every game," Handley said. "I am very excited to have Julie's volleyball work ethic become part of the Skylights team. She is a good leaper and has a great passion for the game of volleyball."
Henderson played with Northern's alumni team at a Havre's recent spring ball tournament, and she showed versatility by play both opposite and power hitter, Handley said.
"She played well and was not intimidated by all the other Frontier Conference teams," Handley said.
The coach added Henderson will be redshirted her freshman year to get accustomed to the speed of the collegiate game and acclimate herself to college courses.
Henderson is the second player from Great Falls to join the Skylights, following Mitsu Frazier.
