GARY LENHARDT, Obituary

SHELBY Gary L. Lenhardt, 56, Shelby, died Friday, May 26, 2001 at a Shelby medical center due to cancer.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Shelby. Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. today the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby.

Lenhardt was born Jan. 5, 1945 to Ted and Geraldine (Dussault) Lenhardt in Billings. They moved to Zurich and he graduated from Chinook High School in 1963. He

went to work for Valley Motor Supply Co. in Havre in 1965.

Lenhardt married Randine Pederson on Sept. 10, 1966 in Chinook. They moved to Shelby in 1973 after he was promoted to manager of the Shelby Valley Motor Supply,

where he was still employed at the time of his death.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, where he served in the past on the church council, the Lions, the Elks, the CarQuest President's Club and was the Jaycees "Boss of the Year" in 1999.

Lenhardt enjoyed golfing, camping, woodworking and all of his customers and friends at the store. His greatest passion was his family.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Roger.

Survivors include his wife, Randi Lenhardt of Shelby; parents, Ted and Geraldine Lenhardt of Havre; son, Brian Lenhardt of Havre; daughter, Nancy Kinyon of Harlem; brothers, Dan Lenhardt of Chinook and Curtis Lenhardt of Seattle; sister, Sandra Boardman of Chinook; mother-in-law Rosa Pederson of Shelby; four grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Gift of Life, Great Falls or to the church.
