Havre Water Plant Superintendent Jeff Jensen said the plant is back on line and water restrictions will be off by noon today.
"It went real well now all we have to do is get caught up and get full again," Jensen said.
The plant was shut down yesterday to allow a new pipe to be tied in as part of the renovation the plant is undergoing. When completed, it will increase the daily capacity of the water plant from about 3.5 million gallons to about 6.1 million gallons. The renovations are intended to both increase the water available to Havre residents and reduce wear and tear on the plant.
Jensen said this should be the last work this summer requiring that the pant is shut down. The renovation won't be completed for about another year, requiring that new filters are installed to increase the capacity. Jensen said no work requiring the plant be shut down is scheduled for the near future, however.
"It shouldn't be off line again this summer," he said.
