GREAT FALLS Vernon James Krause, 73, died Thursday, May 17, 2001 at his home in Great Falls of a heart attack.
Services were Monday, May 21, at Valley Community Bible Church. Burial of ashes will take place in Havre at a later date.
Krause was born Nov. 21, 1927 in Bertha, Minn. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947.
He married Lorene Bebee on Oct. 28, 1949 in Malta.
Krause worked for Vita Rich Dairy in Havre for 30 years, 20 of those years as sales manager. He later worked as a salesman for Bison Ford in Great Falls for 10 years.
He was a member of Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce in Glasgow, VFW, Eagles Lodge and Sons of Pioneers.
Krause enjoyed cars, guns, fishing, traveling and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Krause of Great Falls; daughters, Joy Stafford and Vickie Johnson of Great Falls; sisters, Inez Boehland of Bertha, Minn. and Sylvia Burgess of Minneapolis; brothers, Bob Krause of Minneapolis and Eugene Krause of Chelmsford, Mass.; two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Great Falls Senior Citizens Center.
