HAYS Peggy Sue Heppner, 37, died Saturday, June 30, 2001 from a single-vehicle rollover two miles south of Hays on Montana Highway 66.
Rosary is 7 p.m. today in St. Paul's Recreation Center with funeral Mass there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Landusky Cemetery.
Heppner was born June 19, 1964 to Harold and Sylvia (Turntoes) Heppner. She attended school at Landusky and graduated from Colstrip High School. She moved back to Landusky in 1988 and attended Fort Belknap College.
Heppner worked at Hays/Lodgepole School as a nurse's aid and substitute teacher.
She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, listening to music and visiting with friends and cruising. She also enjoyed working with the staff and kids at Hays/Lodgepole School.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Survivors include her mother, Sylvia Heppner of Landusky; daughter, Theresa of Washington; son, Leighton Heppner of Hays; brother, Harold "Herbie" Heppner of Landusky; sisters, Patti LaRoque of Anchorage, Alaska, Jennifer Schanck of Forsyth, Bobbie Heppner of Malta, Chrissy Heppner of Hays, Wanda "Jeannie" Thomas and Karen Jester, both of Helena, and Charolette "Punky" Schugardt of Colstrip; adopted brother, Dave Snell of Hays; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and special friend, Andrew Morin of Hays.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
