LeRoy John Wiederrich, 73, owner/operator of Industrial Engineering in Havre, died Sept. 28, 2001, at his home in Havre of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Jude Catholic Church, with Fr. Robert D. Grosch officiating. Fellowship
to follow the memorial service at the St. Jude Social Hall.
LeRoy was born Sept. 26, 1928, to Albert and Emilie (Wilde) Wiederrich at Sidney. He attended schools at Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School.
On Dec. 4, 1947, LeRoy enlisted into the U.S. Army. After discharge, he worked with the Great Northern Railway. He also was a former member of the Great Falls Police Department.
On May 14, 1955, LeRoy married Dolores Marie Regan. In January 1956 they moved to Los Angeles, where LeRoy was employed as a tool-and-die engineer for Votaw Engineering Precision Company. He worked there until 1971, when the couple moved back to Havre. In March 1971, LeRoy purchased Blair's Ironworks. He renamed the company Industrial Engineering in Havre and operated it until the time of his death.
LeRoy enjoyed working crossword puzzles, solving problems, fishing and hunting. He was a former member of the Masons, Shriners and was a charter member of the Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Wiederrich; sisters, Alice Tomlin, Betty Mayer and Mable Wiederrich; daughter, Valerie Wiederrich.
Survivors include his mother, Emilie Wiederrich of Great Falls; wife, Dolores M. Wiederrich of Havre; daughter, Rozan M. Kerr of Havre; sons, William (Terry) Wiederrich of Havre, Mike Garrity of Oregon and Steven Garrity; sisters, Adeline Yates of Great Falls, Lorraine Hunter of California and Nora Koch of Florida; brothers, Howard Wiederrich of Cascade, Jack Wiederrich of Armington, Frank Wiederrich of Great Falls, Robert Wiederrich of Simi Valley, Calif., and Lester "Bud" Wiederrich of Poway, Calif.; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
