DEER LODGE Murna Lee Marchuk Benbo, 54, died at her home in Helena Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, due to cancer.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Deer Lodge.
Murna was born Nov. 11, 1947, in Chinook to Alexander and Ella
Marchuk. She attended school and graduated from Chinook High School in 1967. She later attended Northern Montana College in Havre and earned a degree in accounting. In 1989, she began classes to become a pharmacist at the University of Montana in Missoula. She changed her major and became a pharmacy technician.
She married Albert Lawrence Benbo Sr. in Chinook in 1965. They divorced in 1989.
Murna loved to crochet. She made many afghans to give to friends, relatives and loved ones for special occasions. She enjoyed writing and editing, reading, riding horses, talking to loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband, Albert Benbo, Sr.
Survivors include her son, Al Benbo Jr. of Phoenix; daughters, Ramona Woronik of Havre, and Roseanne Benbo of Whitehall; brothers, Richard Marchuk of Great Falls and Allen Campbell of Zurich; numerous relatives and friends.
