After defeating Lethbridge Community College handily on Thursday night, the Montana State University-Northern Lights took to the basketball court Saturday to take on seven former players in the alumni games.
The Lights continued their hot shooting, waltzing past the alumni 138-95, despite the alumni having three players score 20 or more points.
Shawn Wetzel led all scorers with 27 points, followed by Bruce Stacy with 22 and Keith Carothers with 21. Alex Nickelberry also scored in double figures with 10 points.
The Lights, who took a 36-point lead at halftime, made 19 three-point shots, compared to 13 by the alumni. Northern also made 11 of 12 free throws, while the alumni made 16 of 28.
All 16 Lights players scored in the game, led by five players in double figures. Jermaine Walton drained three baskets from beyond the arch, en route to a team-high 19 points. Walton was followed by E.J. Little with 15 points, Brian McGowen with 14, Jeff Graham with 12 and Jared Moultrie with 10.
Junior Uros Mirkovic and Havre's Landen Grant each scored nine points, followed by Faheem Nelson and Charlie Ereaux with eight.
Donnie Parisian added nine points for the alumni.
