Despite game-high totals of 19 points and 10 rebounds from Skylights' center Paula Owens, Montana State University-Northern fell Saturday at home 61-58 to Westmont College (Ca.) in a non-conference game.
Szudia Bragg scored 11 for Northern, and Miranda Weiser came off the bench to chip in 13 points. The Lady Warriors were led by 14 points from Becky Gibb and 13 from Katie Hardeman.
The Skylights (2-2) shot 28.3% from two-point range for the game and 21.1% from outside the arc, with all 11 players seeing action. Their next game will be Friday in the first round of the Northern Invitational.
