SARAH PARISIAN, Obituary

BOX ELDER Sarah J. Parisian, 71, a retired school teacher, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, of complications from a car accident.

Wake was Monday and today. Rosary service is 7:30 p.m. today at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Box Elder. Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Havre with Fr. Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial is to follow at the Highland Cemetery. Luncheon to follow burial at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Box Elder.

Sarah was born June 21, 1930, to Frank

and Mary (Jarvis) Rosette at Augusta. She was educated at Choteau and Box Elder. In 1948, she married Edward S. Parisian in Havre. To this union 11 children were born.

Sarah taught 10 years as a teacher's aide at Box Elder Grade School while attending night school. She graduated from Northern Montana College with her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1981. She was a teacher for eight years at Box Elder Grade School and retired in 1989 after 18 years of service.

Sarah enjoyed shopping, reading, visiting with family, watching television and traveling. Sarah loved collecting Elvis memorabilia.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rosette; father, Frank Rosette; husband, Edward S. Parisian; brother, Charlie and Joe Rosette; son, Kenneth Parisian; grandsons, Shawn Edward Parisian and Robert Joseph Parisian.

Survivors include her sons, Edward F. Parisian, Rio Rachno, N.M., Wilbert "Willie" Parisian Sr., Rocky Boy, Robert Parisian, Watford City, N.D., and Thomas Parisian and Louis "Luke" Parisian, both of Box Elder; daughters, Donna Coltrane, Omaha, Neb., Margaret Jarvey, Denver, Rose Bacon, Box Elder, Bernadette Miller, Power, Veronica Parisian, Denver; brothers, George Rosette, Rock Springs, Wyo., Johnny Rosette, Glenrock, Wyo., Gene Rosette, Phoenix, Frankie Rosette, Helena; sister, Frances Rosette, Box Elder; 14 grandsons, 16 granddaughters, 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
