The following are the scores from the weekend games for Havre Youth Hockey:
The Havre Ice Hawks Squirt "B" Team lost to Great Falls 7-0. Goalie Willie DeVries had 37 saves in the game. The Ice Hawks' next game is in Great Falls on Saturday, Nov. 24. Their sponsor is Independence Bank.
The Short Stop/Bullhook Bottoms Squirts team took to the ice against the Butte Blues Nov. 10. The Blues stopped the Havre team 4-2. Jarrett McLain and Beau Briese each scored one goal in the effort. Briese assisted McLain's goal, while Haley McLain and Mason Sheppard combined for the assist on Briese's goal. Cameron Schilling also stopped 34 attempts in the game.
Taking to the ice for another meeting with the Butte Blues, the Short Stop/Bullhook Bottoms Squirts hoped to redeem themselves from the earlier loss. Despite four goals by Shane Kemmer, Butte came away with the victory 11-7. Two of Kemmer's goals were assisted by Cameron Schilling, one by Adam Briese. Adam Briese added two goals assisted by Shane Kemmer and Beau Briese added one goal assisted by Mason Sheppard. Tyler Ellis stopped 25 shots on goal.
Looking for the sweep the following morning, the Butte Blues once again defeated the Short Stop/Bullhook Bottoms Squirts 8-4. Mason Sheppard scored twice and Seth Anderson and Beau Briese each added one unassisted goal. Haley McLain and Briese assisted Sheppard's two goals..
The Havre Midget high school hockey team defeated the Gallatin Valley team on Saturday 8-2. Eric McLain guarded the goal for the Havre team. Jason Johnstone scored two goals, one assisted by JR Morse. Levi Briese scored one goal, assisted by Garrett Drake; Brett Patrick added another goal, assisted by Mark Benjamin; JR Morse scored a goal of his own, assisted by Jason Johnstone; Mark Benjamin also scored one goal, assisted by JR Morse; and Jack Benjamin scored one goal, also assisted by JR Morse.
The Havre high school team also faced Gallatin Valley, losing in a landslide 11-2. Mark Benjamin defended the goal for Havre. Levi Briese and Tyson Roe scored the two Havre goals.
The Havre High Midget Team hoped to make it two in a row with another win against Bozeman. The Havre team came away victorious with a 6-1 win. Eric McLain was the goalie for Havre. Cody McLain scored two goals, one assisted by Brett Patrick and the other by Tyson Roe. JR Morse scored one goal, assisted by Jason Johnstone; Brett Patrick scored one goal, assisted by Jordon Patterson and Ernie Fuglevand; Levi Briese added to the scoring with another goal, assisted by Jason Johnstone; and Chazz Hurlburt scored one goal, assisted by Ernie Fuglevand. The next home games are Dec. 21-23 against Missoula.
