Jeanette K. Blazek, 86, a retired medical transcriptionist, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at a Havre care facility of Alzheimer's

Cremation will take place.

Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Pastor Jack Rampelberg officiating.

Jeanette was born Sept. 27, 1915, to Oval S. and Garnet (Drye) Hatler at Havre. She attended schools at Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1933.

In 1934, Jeanette married Joseph C. Blazek at Havre. They lived in Havre and later divorced.

Jeanette later married Arvid Kristoferson at Havre. They later divorced. Jeanette remained in Havre and worked at Kennedy Deaconess Hospital for many years, then for H.S. Cooper at the Hill County Assessors Office. She also worked at the H. Earl Clack Company in Havre, then the Husky Oil Company in Cody, Wyo. Fourteen years later, Jeanette returned to Havre and worked for Dr. Weir. Jeanette moved to Concord, Calif., and later to San Francisco, where she worked as a medical transcriptionist. When she retired, she returned to her hometown of Havre.

Jeanette was a lifetime member of the Sixth Avenue Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oval S. and Garnet (Drye) Hatler; son, Robert; brother, Caleb; sister, Mary; infant sister, Sharon; brother, Kenneth; brother, Francis.

Survivors include her daughter, Joan Patton of Billings; son, Gary Blazek of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Lynn Jackson of Turner, Ore.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
