The Havre Syntech Ice Hawks PeeWee hockey team played two games last weekend against the Butte Blues at the Havre Ice Dome.
Saturday's game ended in a heartbreaking 6-3 loss for Havre. Havre tied the game at three less than one minute into the third period. But Butte responded with the game winning goal approximately two minutes later and then scored two more unanswered goals to get the win.
Butte led after the first period, 2-1, and again after the second, 3-2.
Havre's scores came from Tyler Boyce, Todd Roe and Tyler Boyce. Boyce's goal was unassisted. Brad Hanson and Andrew Linquist assisted the other goals.
David Zentmire guarded the goal for the Havre team.
The Syntech Ice Hawks second game against Butte came Sunday and ended in a tie, 4-4.
The game was tied throughout as the first period ended in a 1-1 tie and the second in a 2-2 tie. Both teams scored two goals in the final period, leaving the game in a tie at 4-4.
Havre was outshot in the game, 25-17.
Havre had two unassisted goals in the game, one by Willy Schilling and one by Chase Hanson. Tyler Boyce assisted both of Havre's other goals, scored by Todd Roe and Troy Williams.
Goalie David Zentmire had 21 saves at the net.
