Led by a first-place finish from Chad Hedges, the Havre High wrestlers finished third at the CMR Holiday Classic Friday and Saturday in Great Falls.
Jake Szudera, K.P. Fisher and Garrett Hanson also each earned second-place finishes to cap off a weekend of wrestling.
Chad Hedges defeated B. Reichenbag from Billings Skyview 4-3, sealing his win in the 130-pound weight class. Szudera lost by major decision 13-4 to T. Kaczmarek, also of Billings Skyview. Fisher's loss came at the hands of T. Todd from Bozeman, 3-1. Hanson, the other second-place finisher for the Ponies, also lost by decision 2-0 to A. Jones from Conrad.
Jeff Hedges battled back to a third-place finish at 105 pounds, pinning N. Peterson of Billings West in 3:56.
Mike Schnittgen also had to battle back and wound up with a fifth-place finish, pinning W. Wells of Browning in 1:53.
The Ponies are in action Tuesday for a dual meet at home against Fergus and again on Thursday in a dual meet with Glasgow.
