HARLEM Christopher K. Leo, 79, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at a Chinook nursing home due to natural causes.
Graveside services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Harlem Cemetery with burial to follow.
Chris was born March 4, 1922, in Zurich to Sam and Elodie (Landuyt) Leo. He was raised and attended school in Harlem.
Chris worked for 22 years with the Great Northern Railway on the section crew running various equipment. He later worked as a clerk in Harlem for the New England Hotel.
Chris married Charlene Durand in Chinook on Dec. 22, 1959, and they later divorced.
He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed playing baseball as a young man. He was an avid card player and enjoyed working in his garden.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Elodie Leo; brothers, Roy, Frank, Ray and James Leo; sister, Leona Woods.
Survivors include his daughters, Susan (Jim) Snell, Monty (Terry) Werk, Simone Leo, all of Fort Belknap Agency; sons, Ralph Leo of Fort Belknap Agency and Kenneth (Doreen) Leo of Pablo; brothers, Pete, Melvin and Larry Leo, all of Harlem; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
