Squirts take two before Christmas break

The Havre Ice Hawks Squirt B team played one game before taking a break for Christmas, taking on Sidney in Havre.

But Sidney was not about to give the Squirts an early gift, winning 7-2.

Kyle Miller scored two goals, one assisted by Jesse Majeres. Goalie Willie DeVries had 32 saves in the net.

The next games for the Squirts are in Missoula on Jan. 5 and 6.

The Bullhook Bottoms/Short Stop Squirts were also in Havre Saturday and Sunday, taking on the Bozeman Stingers.

In the first league game, Havre won 11-5 and was led by Beau Briese's four goals, Shane Kemmer's three and two by Mason Sheppard. Tyler Ellis and Seth Anderson each added one goal in the win. Sheppard had three assists, Adam Briese two, and Anderson, Ryan Armstrong and Beau Briese one each.

The second game was closer for the non-league game with Havre winning 7-6.

Mason Sheppard and Shane Kemmer led with three goals apiece and Haley McLain added one. Jarrett McLain had two assists, Dillon McLain one, Haley McLain one and Shane Kemmer one.

Cameron Schilling was goalie for both games.

Beau Briese, Adam Briese and Ryan Armstrong were gone for the second game.
