PAULINE WELCH

Pauline C. Welch, 86, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at a Chinook care center of natural causes.

A prayer vigil and rosary service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church in Havre with Fr.

Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial is to follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Havre.

A fellowship will follow the burial at the Knights of Columbus Hall at St. Jude Catholic Church.

Welch was born July 19, 1914 to John and Eva Brumbly in Hinsdale. She graduated from Hinsdale High School.

In 1933, she married Francis Joseph Welch.

Welch was employed at First National Bank in Havre for many years and worked her way to the top. She was an auditor and worked in public relations and in estate planning.

She was an active member of the community. She belonged to and was a past president of Business and Professional Women's Organization, belonged to Catholic Daughters, hospital board, Red Cross as a volunteer (Gray Lady at the Sacred Heart Hospital), and was Hospice coordinator.

Welch was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis J. Welch in 1980; sister, May Brumbly; brothers, Jim and Bill Brumbly.

Survivors include her son, Bill Welch of Havre; daughter, Anne Marie Gallus of Butte; sister, Lillian Cooper of Richland, Wash.; sister-in-law, Betty Brumbly of Cottonwood, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two nephews.
