Emma Luella Lindgren, 93, died Friday, April 27, 2001 at her Havre home of natural causes.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Pastor Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Lindgren was born Aug. 27, 1907 in Montevideo, Minn. to Lauritz and Christina (Petersen) Peterson. She attended a country school near the family farm in Minnesota, and the teacher lived with her family.
She married Virgil A. Lindgren March 28, 1930 in Maynard, Minn. They moved to Havre in 1946, so he could work on the Great Northern Railroad. She worked at the Great Northern Beanery Cafe for 20 years.
Lindgren was a member of the Eagles and VFW Auxiliary, Hilltop Home Extension Club and the Sixth Avenue Christian Church.
She enjoyed traveling and playing cards, especially pinochle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lindgren, in 1966, and seven brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her niece and nephew, Jean and Clarence Christofferson of Helena; sister, Viola Horney of St. Paul, Minn.; close friends, Jack and Bea Campbell of Havre; three adopted granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Fifth Avenue Christian Church.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
