Springtime is the perfect time for graduation. Like a tree that blossoms and produces fruit after years of growth, graduates are ready to reap the fruits of their labor, receive their degree and put their knowledge to good use in whatever field of study they have chosen.
The commencement ceremonies for MSU-Northern graduates are set to take place this Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. in the Northern gymnasium. The ceremonies will be a time to recognize the students' achievements in numerous fields including education, nursing, mechanics and more. The ceremonies will also include several distinguished speakers, and will recognize past graduating classes for their continued achievements. In addition, the graduates of Stone Child College in Rocky Boy will be celebrating their commencement Friday afternoon.
Graduation is such an important milestone in one's life, it is a time of change, growth and endless possibilities. With a degree in hand, a graduate is ready to achieve the dream which they have strived so hard to reach. At the very moment a student receives his or her degree, all the hard work and discipline it took to gain the necessary knowledge to make it to that point seems well worth it.
We, at the Havre Daily News, applaud all MSU-Northern and Stone Child graduates, and wish you the best of luck as you venture out to begin your careers. Without these students, our community would be without the wonderful teachers, nurses, social workers and business people who make Havre and the Hi-Line a wonderful place to be.
