Havres Owens wins bareback riding title

Jarrett Monroe won the boys' all-around title, and Laura Gunderson claimed the girls' all-around title at the Havre High School Rodeos on April 28 at the Hill County Fairgrounds.

Havre's Todd Owens scored the top average in bareback riding, claiming first place in the first rodeo with a score of 59 and first in the second rodeo with a 55.

Chinook's Jacob Brown and Jeston Brown finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in bareback riding in the first rodeo.

Jeston Brown also finished third in bull riding in the second rodeo and sixth overall in the first.

Havre's Alicia Lairy placed third in pole bending in the second rodeo, and she was joined in the event by teammate Terra Otto, who placed 10th.

Havre's Jessica McIntosh finished third in barrel racing in the second rodeo.

Havre's T.J. Barnett finished seventh in breakaway roping in the first rodeo and 10th in the second.
