LESTER CLINE, Obituary

BIG SANDY Lester H. Cline, 83, died Saturday, May 12, 2001 of a heart attack at a Big Sandy hospital.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Big Sandy Cemetery.

Cline was born Dec. 5, 1917 to Abraham and

Bettie (Ross) Cline in Surprise, Mo. His family moved to Big Sandy when he was 3 years old. His father and uncle operated a farm east of Big Sandy. The family moved again in 1927 to Lonesome Prairie. He attended Mountain View Country School and Big Sandy School.

He married Elaine Arndt Jan. 2, 1940 in Fort Benton. They moved out on the prairie and worked on the family farm. Cline also was an aerial spray pilot on the side.

Cline's hobbies included gun collecting, shooting, flying airplanes and motorcycling. He was a member of the Big Sandy Gun Club.

He was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Marvin and Ray Cline.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Alma Cline of Big Sandy; sons, Dale Cline and Leon Cline, both of Big Sandy; brother, Floyd Cline of Havre; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Big Sandy Fire Department, American Cancer Society or donor's choice.

Services and arrangements are being handled by Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
