MALTA Doris K. Frye, 79, died Friday, May 25, 2001 at her home in Havre from cancer.
Visitation was Monday and Tuesday at the Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta. Graveside services were 1 p.m. today at the Malta Cemetery.
Frye was born, Nov. 25, 1921 at Malta to Jacob "Jack" and Signe E.
(Carlson) Ruud. She graduated from the Malta High School in 1940. She worked at the Great Northern Sweet Shop after high school.
She married Charles D. Frye on March 11, 1942 in Malta.
After moving to Havre, she became known for her wedding cakes.
She worked crossword puzzles and enjoyed all children. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her.
Frye was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Orall Morris Ruud; sister, Della Pearson May 7, 1992.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Frye of Havre; son, Donald Frye of Havre; daughter Gloria Brown of Great Falls; brother, Bud Ruud of Malta; sister, Jean Hendrickson of Cut Bank; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta was in charge of arrangements.
