ROCKY BOY Timothy William Hiser, 39, died Monday, June 11, 2001 in Whitefish. Cause of death is yet to be determined.
Wake services will be 5 p.m. Friday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy with burial at Rocky Boy Cemetery.
Hiser was born Sept. 8, 1961 in Havre to Jenny LaSalle. He was an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy's Reservation and was raised in Whitefish.
He returned to Rocky Boy where he attended Stone Child College and worked as a special prosecutor for the tribal courts. Hiser returned to the Whitefish area in April and had plans of going to law school in the fall. He was a believer of the Chippewa Cree culture and customs and practiced many of the cultural ways.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Young Girl Billy and Aunt Mary Jane Henderson.
Survivors include his mother, Jenny LaSalle of Rocky Boy; sister, Marlene Walker of Arlington, Va.; brothers, Mike LaMere, Leon LaSalle, Bobby LaSalle, Merlin LaSalle and Logan LaSalle, all of Rocky Boy.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
