GILDFORD Anna Loucille Hanson, 71, died Friday, June 15, 2001 at a Chinook nursing home of natural causes.
At her request, no funeral services are planned. Burial was this morning in the South Gildford Cemetery.
Hanson was born Aug. 3, 1929 to Emile Nelson and Evelyn Christenson in Great Falls. She was raised and educated in Havre.
She married Finn Arthur Hanson on April 24, 1948 in Box Elder. They moved to Gildford where she was active on the family farm south of Gildford. She took a job as cook at Gildford School, which became KG high School. She retired after 25 years in 1988.
She lived in her home in Gildford until March 2001 when her longtime heart condition deteriorated.
She was a member of the Kremlin Lutheran Church and Havre Eagles Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts. She collected knickknacks, plates and spoons. She also enjoyed camping and fishing, reading, and playing cards, especially pinochle. She was a loyal fan of KG basketball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Finn, who died in 1982; her parents; brothers, Robert and Jerry Nelson.
Survivors include her son, Arthur Bernard Hanson of Havre; sister, Delores "Dory" Bishop of Barnesville, Ga.; brother, Michael Orisko of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Gildford Community Park.
Rockman Funeral Home of Chester is handling cremation and arrangements.
