Three mayoral candidates and 9 city council candidates met Thursday's 5 p.m. filing deadline for the next Havre city election.
The primary election will be held Sept. 11. The general election is in November.
Filing for mayor are:
Michael Shortell Democrat
Roberta Demarest Democrat
Robert (Bob) Well Rice Republican
The office of mayor is for a four-year term.
Havre City Council candidates are:
Ward 1,
Dana West Democrat
R. Cameron Worstell Republican
Ward 2,
Richard F. Pierson Democrat incumbent
Jerry L. Hanson Republican
Ward 3,
Thomas M. Farnham Democrat incumbent
Ward 4,
Arnold Tyler Democrat incumbent
Allen "Woody" Woodwick Democrat
Ronald Wolford Republican
Erik Meis Republican
Two candidates have also filed in the nonpartisan race for city judge. They are:
Joyce Perszyk incumbent
Carl White.
Raymond C. Lipp has filed as a nonpartisan candidate for mayor of Hingham, and Roger L. Haas and William Rodney Spicher have filed as nonpartisan candidates for alderman at large. All three candidates are incumbents.
