BILLINGS LeRoy F. Robinson, 87, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at a Billings care center. Alice Lorrayne Robinson, 85, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at a Billings care center.

A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel West in Billings.

He was born Jan. 3, 1914 in Helena to Irene and Arthur Robinson. She was born Feb. 25, 1916 in Victor to Eva and Harry Thrailkill.

He graduated from Helena High School and served four years in the U.S. Navy. She attended schools in Victor and Helena and graduated from Helena High School. She was employed by Strain Brothers department store in Helena.

They married on his return from the Navy on Jan. 4, 1938. They moved to Choteau, where he was employed by an agricultural loan association. In 1948, they moved to Great Falls, where he was employed by the Production Credit Association. He later became the manager of the PCA and the Federal Land Bank. In 1965, they moved to Havre, where he managed the Federal Land Association until his retirement in 1973. In 1974, they moved to Helena and spent their winters in California.

They were active members of the Methodist Church and attended Faith Chapel in Billings.

LeRoy Robinson was active in Odd Fellows, Masons, Elks and served as president of Kiwanis Club. Alice Robinson was active in Rebecca's, Eastern Star, served as guardian of Job's Daughters and president of Roosevelt PTA in Great Falls.

They enjoyed dancing, golfing, playing bridge together, vacations at Swan and Seeley lakes. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; she enjoyed sewing, painting and crafts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, Ed and George Robinson; sister, Lillian Iverson. Survivors include his brother, Dick Robinson of Helena.

She was preceded preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert and Robert Thrailkill; sisters, Dorothy Thrailkill and Marie Maki.

They are survived by their children, Donna McCulloch of Bozeman, Harvey Robinson of Okinawa and Marsha Leonard of Billings; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
