Harlem's Jim Cole teamed with Cut Bank's Sam Bird to win the team roping title at the Great Northern Stampede rodeo this past weekend at the Hill County Fairgrounds.
Cole and Bird won with a time of 6.7 seconds and earned $1,144 for their efforts. They edged East Glacier's J.W. Ray and Browning's Ken Whyle, who tied Dan Picchietti of Arlee and Rooster Reynolds of Twin Bridges for second with a time of 6.9.
Havre's Jeff Solomon was third in steer wrestling with a time of 6.3. Jesse Peterson of Dillon was first with a time of 5.2.
