Former Blue Pony swimmer earns recognition
Tyler Croft, who graduated from Havre High School this past year, has been named to the U.S. Navy Scholastic All-America boys' national swimming team.
To be nominated, a student must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. He or she must also be a senior in both academic and athletic standing and be a participant in a program that benefits the community.
Student-athletes will be named to six national boys' teams football, basketball, baseball, soccer, swimming and track and field and six girls' teams volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, swimming and track and field.
The U.S. Navy Scholastic All-America program, initially launched during the 1999-2000 school year, is the largest national program that recognizes the combined athletic and academic achievement of high school students.
