MALTA Helen Frances Norman, 79, of Eureka, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at a Great Falls nursing home of cancer.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Malta Lutheran Church in Malta. Visitation begins one hour before the service.
Norman was born in Spring Lake, Minn., and was raised in the Culbertson area.
She married Vern Bailey in 1939 in Malta. They divorced in 1944.
She married Luther Norman on April 7, 1945.
Norman was a retail sales clerk, worked at the Dutch Shop Cafe and F.A. Buttrey in Havre, the Trail Right Cafe in Livingston and Montana Market in Eureka.
She was active in her church in Eureka.
Norman enjoyed family gatherings and her flower beds, telling stories about her childhood and taking trips.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther F. Norman, in 1974; daughter, Barbara Jean Norman; two grandchildren and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Lenora Graham of Great Falls and Rosemary Johnson and Carolyn Richardson, both of Havre; sons, Lee Norman of Sharpsburg, Ga., Wayne Norman of Shepherd and Lester Norman of Columbia Falls; sisters, Dora Goodson of Belen, N.M., Mamie Swallow of Havre, Betty Munson of Dodson and Lucille Hasler of Cedar Edge, Colo.; brothers, Herbert Schwenke of Colville, Wash., and Henry Schwenke of Sidney.
