Raymond H. Tudor, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Parr officiating. Fellowship is to follow at the Van
Orsdel Methodist Church. A graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls.
Raymond was born Aug. 28, 1922, to Sol and E. Bergus "Bergil" (Mobley) Tudor at Stephensville, Texas. He attended schools in Stephensville.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1941 and worked his way up to master sergeant. He trained as a pilot and flew numerous missions in Egypt, Libya and Morocco. He was a veteran of three foreign wars. He transferred to Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls in 1962 and retired in 1964 as a lieutenant colonel.
He married Louise Harvey in England. They had five children. She died in 1993.
Raymond started a Boy Scout Troop for the disabled in Great Falls and earned several honors, including the Silver Beaver Award.
On April 29, 1995, he married Delores Peterson in Great Falls.
He was a life member of the Elks and a member of the VFW and Eagles Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sol Ross Tudor and Edna Bergus Tudor; wife, Louise Harvey Tudor; daughter, Bergie Tudor.
Survivors include his second wife, Delores Peterson Tudor of Havre; sons, Chip Harvey Tudor of Yuma, Ariz., and Allen Tudor of Boise, Idaho; daughters, Ferne Franz of England and Mary Mason of Great Falls; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six step-children.
Memorials may be made to a person's choice.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
