KREMLIN Roland C. Johnson, 70, formerly of Kremlin, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2001, at Chandler, Ariz.
Johnson was born April 22, 1931, and attended school in Kremlin. He graduated from Kremlin High School in 1949.
He served as a paratrooper in the Korean Conflict until his discharge in 1952.
In 1951, he married Amelia Quinn from Nashville, Tenn.
Roland taught school in Box Elder, Browning and Matawa, Wash. He taught for approximately 34 years in Hillsboro, Ore.
He enjoyed photography, wood carving and playing the organ. He spent his retirement traveling throughout the United States and other countries in his RV. During the winter months, he resided in Arizona.
After being struck with ALS, he resided with his daughter in Chandler, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and an infant daughter.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Workman of Chandler, Ariz.; sons, Mike of Hillsboro, Ore., and Ben of Buffalo, N.Y.; brother, Neil of Arlington, Texas; sister, Darlene Donoven of Kremlin and Havre; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
