ELIZABETH BUTLER, Obituary

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. Elizabeth Anne Butler, 64, Chattanooga, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at a Chattanooga hospital from complications of surgery and a subsequent stroke.

A former Havre resident, Butler was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Chattanooga and worked with Harvest Covenant Church. She had been a secretary with Chattanooga State Technical Community College.

The Butlers were an Air Force family and were stationed at the Havre Radar Base from 1971-78. Her husband, Bill, retired as a chief master sergeant in 1978 and the family returned to their families in Chattanooga. While in Havre, Anne was a legal secretary, first with Hauge and Hauge, and later with Waldo Spangelo. Their four children attended and graduated from Havre schools.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband, Bill Butler; daughter, Virginia C. Butler of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, David Butler of Billings, James Butler of Chattanooga, and John Butler of Lawrence, Kan.; four brothers; one sister; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
