WILLIAM BERRY, Obituary

SAVANNAH, Ga. William Orvil Berry, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2001, at his family farm near Baineville after a recent illness.

He was born April 8, 1918, in Havre to Dee H. and Ruth (Wilson) Berry. He graduated from Havre High School and attended Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Ga., and George Washington University in Washington. He has been retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 24 years.

Berry served in the armed forces in both World War II and the Korean War. He was a watchmaker and manufactured jewelry.

He was a member of the first Presbyterian Church in Havre. He also was a member of the Elks Club in Savannah, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Theriault.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Scott Berry; son, Wilson Scott Berry; brother, Donald (Audrey) Berry of Medford, Ore.; aunts, Mabel Wilson of Culbertson and Eunice Berry of Havre; cousin, Rea Flesch of Shelby; several nieces and nephews.
