Lois Marie Taylor, 75, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at a Havre hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service is
10 a.m. Saturday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel with Chad Leathermon officiating. Burial is to follow the
memorial service at Highland Cemetery. There will be a fellowship reception at the Eagles Club following the committal service.
Lois was born May 9, 1926, to Roy and Ethel (Gardner) Baker in Havre. She was educated at Havre Public Schools.
Lois made a lifelong career of the restaurant business, operating the Club Cigar Caf in Great Falls and the Glacier Cafe in Havre. Lois met her husband, Dean, while she was operating Buff's Caf in Forsyth. They were married on July 14, 1979, in Havre. They owned and operated the B&L Big Sky Caf in Forsyth.
Lois enjoyed cooking and entertaining, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family and her dog, Tara. She loved animals. She enjoyed watching bull riding and boxing and enjoyed betting on football games with her brother-in-law and niece.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ethel (Gardner) Baker, and son, Kenneth Knickerbocker.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Taylor of Havre; daughters, Carol (Gary) Russell of Hardy Creek, and Debbie Piseno of Great Falls; stepdaughters, Laurie Taylor and Lynn Taylor, both of Portland, Ore.; sons, Dale (Yolanda) Tuttle of Forsyth and Robert (Connie) Knickerbocker of Huntley; stepson, Les Taylor of Portland, Ore.; sisters, Louise (Woodrow) Skinner of Havre and Barbara Baker of Great Falls; 20 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
