Gertrude Bulman, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at a care center in Escondido, Calif., of natural causes.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral
Chapel, with Pastor Brad Ulgenes of the First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial to follow
Funeral Service at the Highland Cemetery. Fellowship to follow burial at the First Lutheran Church.
Gertrude was born Aug. 28, 1916, to Amond and Josephine (Sungarten) Paulson at Inverness. She was educated in Inverness and graduated high school there.
On June 25, 1938, Gertrude married Otis Bulman in Havre. To this union, two children were born. In 1953, the couple moved to Havre so their children could attend school. They continued to farm in Inverness during this time. Her husband, Otis, preceded Mrs. Bulman in death in 1975. In 1998, she had a stroke and moved to the Sunbridge Care Center in Escondido, Calif., to be closer to family.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church from 1953 to the time of her death. She was very grateful for all her neighbors. They were like her extended family. Gertrude did a lot of volunteer work through the Senior Center, serving lunches and setting up activities. She also enjoyed working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Bulman in 1975.
Survivors include her daughter, Dolores (Ron) Dishno of San Diego, Calif.; son, Gary (Sonja) Bulman of Escondido, Calif.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Gertrude's honor may be made to Havre Senior Center, 2 Second St. W., Havre, MT 59501.
