Havre Midgets lose two in Canada

The Havre Midget Hockey team traveled to Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada to play in a three day tournament last weekend. Havre came away with one win, two losses and one tie on the weekend.

Havre faced Swift Current in its first game, which ended in a tie at 1. Brett Patrick scored the only Havre goal and Mark Benjamin had the assist.

Eric McLain was awarded Most Valuable Player for the game.

Havre lost its second game to Shaunavon 5-1. Garrett Drake scored the lone Havre goal, assisted by Patrick.

Drake was awarded the MVP for the game.

Havre finally picked up a win in its third game, 5-3 over Frontier.

Drake scored two goals in the game, assisted by Chazz Hurlburt and Cody McLain. Patrick also scored two goals, assisted by Hurlburt and Drake. Cody McLain added the other Havre goal, assisted by Patrick.

Patrick received the MVP award.

Havre's final game of the weekend was a rematch of the first game against Swift Current. This time Havre fell 5-2.

Jason Johnstone and Drake scored the Havre goals. Johnstone's goal was assisted by Hurlburt, while Drake's was assisted by Andy Meyers and Cody McLain.

Cody McLain received the MVP award for the last game.

The Midgets leave for a three-day tournament this weekend in Billings.
