Margaret Decker, 85, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, a resident of a Havre care facility. She had Alzheimer's disease.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Havre at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, with Pastor Brad Ulgenes officiating. Fellowship luncheon to follow at the First Lutheran Church.
Margaret was born March 1, 1916, to Norwegian homesteaders Martin and Charlotte (Thygesen) Tronstad in Fergus Falls, Minn. She spent her early years at Fort Assinniboine and attended schools in Havre. In 1935, she married Havre native James Decker. She was active in the First Lutheran Church and other community organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; sister, Ann (Tronstad) Siers; brother, Alf Tronstad; daughter, Mary Susan.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Stevens of San Francisco; son, Bob of Helena; three granddaughters.
