The local squirts hockey teams had a busy weekend in Havre with three games at home between Saturday and Sunday.
The Bullhook Bottoms/Short Stop Squirts team faced the Helena A team in a league game Saturday, falling 6-5.
Ryan Armstrong scored three goals in the game, Mason Sheppard and Adam Briese each added one. Armstrong assisted Briese's goal, while Tyler Ellis and Seth Anderson combined for the assist on Sheppard's. Shane Kemmer had one assist for Armstrong's goals, while Kemmer and Sheppard combined for another assist for Armstrong. Armstrong's other goal was unassisted.
Cameron Schilling guarded the goal for the Squirts.
Facing the same Helena team in a non-league game Sunday, Havre fell 6-4.
Mason Sheppard scored two goals. Ryan Armstrong and Beau Briese each added one. Briese assisted both of Sheppard's goals and Seth Anderson had the assist on Armstrong's. Briese's goal was unassisted.
Adam Briese was the goalie for Havre in Sunday's game.
The Squirts are at home Sunday against Billings at 1 p.m.
Also played on Saturday, the Havre Ice Hawks Squirt B team, sponsored by Independence Bank, faced Miles City.
Despite 27 saves by goalie Alex Sinclair, the Squirts were shutout 9-0.
The next games for the Squirt B team is in Havre Jan. 26 vs Bozeman at 11 a.m. and Jan. 27 against Glasgow at 1 p.m.
