BIG SANDY Linda A. Hindman, 52, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at a Havre hospital due to cancer.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Saint Margaret Mary's Catholic Church with burial following in Big Sandy Cemetery.
Linda was born on March 2, 1949, in Havre to Floyd and Irene (Winters) Duncan. She was raised in and attended schools in Chinook.
Linda married Lutz Hartel in 1964. They later divorced. She married Jonnie Hindman in 1971 and he passed away later.
Linda worked and traveled extensively all around the United States. Five years ago, she met her best friend and soul mate, Jeff Silvan. They enjoyed fishing, camping and going down to the Missouri River.
Her favorite hobbies were sewing, gardening and crafts. She enjoyed cooking and being around her family and grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Irene Gorman; father, Floyd Duncan; sister, Sharon Staples; son-in-law, Curt Hebbelman.
Survivors include her soul mate, Jeff Silvan; son, Larry Hartel of Colorado; daughters, Lisa Burke of Sedalia, Colo., Lynette Hebbelman of Chinook; brothers, Butch Duncan and Jim Gorman, both of Havre; sisters, Vicki Brown of Naches, Wash., Tami Omlie of Havre; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
