MSU-N chili contest gets hot

Things will be heating up at Montana State University-Northern Thursday.

Students in Free Enterprise is holding its fifth annual chili feed and contest starting at 5 p.m. in the Student Union Building ballroom.

The all-you-can-eat chili feed costs $3 for adults and $2 for children 3 to 12. Children under 3 can eat for free.

The contest is a fund-raiser to send the student business club to compete at the regional SIFE competition in Seattle.

The top three winners will receive a share of the entry fees. It costs $30 for organizations to enter the contest and $25 for individuals.

First place wins 25 percent of the entry fees, second wins 15 percent and third wins 10 percent.

SIFE asks each contestant to bring at least one gallon of chili. The set-up time for the contestants is from 4:30 to 5 p.m., with the judging starting at 5 p.m. The feed will begin when the judging is completed.

Tickets are available in advance from SIFE, and will be available at the door.
