Garrett Hanson, a standout last season for the Havre Northstars, has committed to play baseball for the Miles Community College Pioneers next spring.
Hanson caught 64 games for Havre last year and threw out 25 baserunners in 47 attempts. Hanson hit .314 with 16 doubles and two home runs.
The Northstars were the State A runners-up last season.
"Garrett is a very talented catcher that will bring a terrific work ethic and good baseball skills to MCC," Pioneers head coach Rob Bishop said. "We will enjoy watching him develop in our program."
Hanson has spent his summer this year as an assistant coach for the Northstars.
Hanson also was the Class A state champion at 171 pounds this past year for the Havre High wrestling team.
