Havre will host the State Speech Meet Jan. 25-26 and needs about 400 judges for the competition.
The two-day meet will bring students from Class A, B and C schools to Havre. A total of 600 students from 81 Montana schools will compete.
Judging in the areas of speech, debate and drama will start with Round 1 at 2 p.m. on Jan. 25. The competitions will take place at all Havre schools.
The judging will continue Jan. 26 at 8 a.m. Semifinals will be at noon and finals will begin at 2 p.m. The awards presentation will be at 4 p.m.
No experience is needed to be a judge. A judging workshop will be held prior to the event. People interested in being a judge should call the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce at 265-4383.
