Dickson seeks her third term

Carrie Dickson announced today she is filing on the Democratic ticket for re-election to the office of Hill County treasurer/assessor.

Dickson, who has held the office for eight years, said her experience and attitude will help her continue to perform the job as an active participant of the office.

"I'm not a figurehead," she said. "I've never been a figurehead."

She said she works the front counter in her office right along with her workers, something the public and her workers like to see.

Dickson has worked in the Hill County Treasurer's Office for 13 years. She began work as a dispatcher in the Hill County Sheriff's Office in 1989, and moved to the treasurer's office in November of that year.

She said she worked her way through the different stations in the office before being elected treasurer/assessor.

Dickson, a 23-year resident of Montana, graduated from Whitefish High School and attended Lane Community College and the University of Oregon, both in Eugene, Ore. She has a degree in accounting.

Dickson and her 10-year-old son, Trevor, live in Havre. She is the daughter of J.W. Anderson and the late Liz Anderson.
